Praise the Lord!!!! I lost a pound this week!!! That normally wouldn't seem like enough but with the last weekend being Valentine Day I am thrilled! I actually thought I had posted this blog but guess what ... I didn't! This last week has been tough for me ... emotionally and physically. I still am not feeling 100% which makes me not want to do much. Because of that I feel like I am not really planning the way I should which makes me FAIL! As my husband always says "fail to plan ... plan to fail"! He is right! But at least I got the 1lb off! As I continue I hope that this week is better than last week. The weather makes it hard to want to go out and exercise but I know I have to push myself during those times.
My challenge for myself this week is to exercise a minimum of 60 minutes each day Monday through Friday! I'll let you know how it goes!!
Have a great Monday and I will report in on Wednesday with my numbers!

The scale doesn't lie ...
Tomorrow will tell the truth ... did those chocolate candies get worked off? I will say Valentine Day was good to me and those of you that know me know how much I LOVE my dark chocolate. I worked out hard Monday night at the gym, burned 700 calories. Today I did the Physique 57 which is a pretty tough workout but only burned about 300 calories. It doesn't get my heart rate up as high but it is a very hard workout.
So, I weigh in tomorrow night and as much as I need to keep moving forward I am also a little nervous. I did so well the previous week that to have the "sugar" attack this week really depresses me. I will not allow it to set me back any further so as long as I keep going forward I will be successful.
I hope you had a good valentine and hopefully you didn't overdose on the chocolate like I did. If you did, today is a NEW DAY!!!
Much love to you all!

I always say "If you eat healthy 80% of the time the other 20% you can relax" well ...
I have done the opposite this weekend. I have not been feeling well (which is the reason for the lack of postings) so I have eaten what I consider "junk" most of the time. I have stayed within my calories but it has been empty calories ... noodle soup (we call sick soup), saltine crackers and of course CHOCOLATE because it's Valentine WEEKEND not day! So, I'm human ... going to pay for that chocolate and those darn saltine crackers! I feel like I'm on the biggest loser and I have to weigh in on Wednesday ... looking for a few "last chance" workouts this week.
I did receive my Physique 57 in the mail this week and was able to do the 30 minute DVD Saturday. It was a great workout and can't wait till I fill up to doing the 57 minute one.
What is your favorite exercise? Comment and let everyone know!

WOW ... if you actually burn more calories than you eat you lose weight!
I have worked very hard this week to make sure I think about everything I put into my mouth. It wasn't a "Perfect" week but I don't think there ever will be. I have kept track of everything and stayed within my calories each day. Last night was my weigh in and I lost 5LBS this week!!!! WOO HOO!!!!
It is so nice to see the hard work pay off so quickly. My goal is to average about a 2lb lose each week and this being the first week I expected it to be a little more.
I will not log my entire food diary every day but will always include my calories. If you would like detailed information that will help you with ideas for you I can always add it or email it to you.
Wednesday's Calories:
Calories Consumed: 1909 Calories Burned: 781 Net Calories: 1128 (a little low)
Thursday's Calories:
Calories Consumed: 1400 Calories Burned: 0 Net Calories:1400
Starting this next week I hope to bring you a "food find" each week and a tip that helped make it a little easier for me.
I'm looking for 70 Followers by the 19th of February ... help me find them. I will donate $1 for each of the 70 followers to the Tarrant County Food Bank.

Day 6 ... Some things I've figured out!
Over these last 6 days I've been in tough situations where I have to make the choice whether I'm truly hungry or not and if I am what I will eat. I've found that there are so many times that I eat for reason other than actual hunger. It reminds me of a financial budget ... when you write down what you have and what you spend you think more about it before you let the money go. In the same way I'm more aware of what I'm spending my calories on before they disappear.
I did good today on my food:
Breakfast:
Egg Beaters 60
Sandwich Rounds 100
Singles American Cheese Slices 30
Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage 120
Lunch:
Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Spicy Chicken 320
Afternoon Snack:
Nabisco Triscuit 120
string cheese 80
Dinner:
Brocolli, Raw 19
Brummel And Brown natural Yogurt 45
Grilled Skinless Chicken Breast 120
Mixed Berries 100
Minute Ready To Serve Brown Rice 170
Today I ate 1284 calories but I had 4 almonds that probably got me up to my 1428 goal for the day :)!
I have been logging all my food on the following website ... it's free and you should check it out!!!

Made it through the weekend and SUPERBOWL!!!
How was your weekend? I started mine off by waking up way to early Saturday morning for a workout!! I hate to get up and go workout but it feels so good once you have done it! Had a great workout with my hubby and would encourage you to make Saturday morning a day that you spend with your family or friends being active! As for my food this weekend I did good. Saturday night was date night ... we enjoyed a movie with some friends and was able to keep my calories under goal. It was different because I was completely aware of what I was eating or planning on eating. We went to Studio Movie Grill and one of my weaknesses they have is Sweet Potato Fries. In order to be able to enjoy those I watched my calories throughout the day and made sure to get my exercise in. I did not deprive myself of food during the day just spaced it out and made good healthy choices. The superbowl was easy for us because we stayed home!
I am staying right around 1500 calories a day which is right where I need to be to average about a 2lb weight loss a week. Wednesday will be my weigh in day and we will see then how this is all paying off. Come by Thursday to see if I made my mini goal this week!!

What did I get myself into????
Let me start off by saying "Thank You" to all of you that have emailed me or commented and been so supportive of this journey! I am very excited for you to be a part of this with me. I must be honest ... when I was making my meals today I was a little nervous about what I was choosing to eat. I guess that's a good thing because it makes me think twice before I put it in my mouth!!
A friend of mine gave me a great website (i'll add the link) that you can log your food on and will also guide you on how many calories you need each day. Based on my information that I submitted it is recommended that I eat between 1450 - 1500 calories per day. Of course on my days that I have a more intense exercise schedule I will increase those calories as needed.
So ... today I ate 1430 calories. My meals were as follows:
6:45 AM Kashi Cinnamon Cereal w/1% milk.
10:00 AM Lowfat Cheese stick w/serving of triscuits
12:30 PM California Sushi Roll w/Miso Soup
4:30 PM Natural Peanut Butter w/1/2 Banana sandwich
7:00 PM Black bean nachos made with baked chips, black beans, lettuce, light sour cream, light cheese
9:00 PM 1/2 cup of Berries
I will have to say that it was a little challenging today to keep up with everything but I do know that it gets easier the more I do it.
